The Anishinabek Nation 7th Generation Charity began disbursing funds to communities in June 2000. It was a $200.00 grant to Long Lake #58 First Nation. Since then, grants have been disbursed to numerous communities across the Anishinabek Nation territory. As well, grants have been given to citizens who have required funds in emergency or crisis situations. The Anishinabek Nation 7th Generation Charity provides grants to eligible applicants in the following areas: • Education Criteria The AN7GC provides the opportunity to apply for grants year round. Currently, applications for grants are being received through an Official Grant Request Letter accompanied by a letter of support from the Chief of the community. Official Grant Request Letter The following must be outlined in the official letter for an AN7GC grant request: • Official Request for Grant: what are you asking for including a dollar amount Grant Approvals Process All grant applications will be reviewed and decided upon by the AN7GC Board of Directors. Application Deadlines The AN7GC accepts grant applications on a year-round basis. However, grant approvals and amounts may be contingent on the availability of funds.
